Clark Atlanta University releases 2008 Football Schedule

Atlanta, GA – The Clark Atlanta University (CAU) Department of Athletics has announced its 2008 football schedule. The 11-game schedule features nine conference games, one classic and two nonconference contests. Six of the games will be played at CAU’s Panther Stadium.
 The Panthers will open the 2008 season at home on August 30 as they host the Wildcats of Fort Valley State University in a conference matchup. Kickoff is slated for 6 p.m.
The Panthers travel to Carrollton, Georgia, on September 6 to meet the Wolves of the University of West Georgia from the Gulf Coast Conference. The start time for this interconference contest is 7 p.m. On September 13, the Panthers are back in Panther Stadium for a conference game with the Tigers of Stillman College in a 6 p.m. start.
On September 20, it’s back on the road as the Panthers travel to Frankfort, Kentucky, for a 1 p.m. conference matchup with the Thorobreds of Kentucky State University. The following week, Sept. 27, the Panthers host the Bears of Miles College at 6 p.m. in Panther Stadium.
The Panther Homecoming game will be October 4, at 1:30 p.m., against the Tigers of Savannah State University. The remainder of the month will include a trip to Albany, Georgia, on October 11 for a 3 p.m. game with the Golden Rams of Albany State University; a home date on October 18 with the Maroon Tigers of Morehouse College at 2 p.m.; and a journey to Jackson, Tennessee, on October 25 to meet the Dragons of Lane College at 2 p.m.
On November 1 the Panthers will host the Golden Tigers of Tuskegee University in a 6 p.m. kickoff from Panther Stadium. The Panthers will conclude the regular season on November 8, when they travel to Augusta, Georgia. For the second consecutive year, the Panthers will meet the Tigers of Benedict College in the Central Savannah River Area Classic.
