Veteran duo tapped for Fox Sports Net
coverage of two HBCU Classics

ATLANTA, GA – The
broadcast team of Charles Ward and Mark Lassiter
has been tapped by Fox Sports South to handle
the on-air broadcast for two Black
College Football Classics this
football season.

On September 16th, the broadcast duo, recognized
for their insightful and conversational style,
will provide FSN’s live, on-air coverage
of the 17th Annual Southern Heritage Classic
from the Liberty Bowl in Memphis, Tennessee.
Kick-off is set for 6 p.m.
On September 30th, they will also provide
FSN’s live, on-air coverage of the 18th
Annual Atlanta Football Classic from the Georgia
Dome in Atlanta, Georgia. This will be second
time that Ward and Lassiter have provided on-air
coverage of the Atlanta Football Classic. Kick-off
is set for 3 p.m. Gerald Olivari will join
Ward and Lassiter as sideline reporter for
both games.
The broadcast team has worked together for
over 14 years in television and radio. Ward,
an award-winning sportscaster, handles the
play-by-play and Lassiter provides the game
analysis and commentary. “We are extremely
excited about covering both classics. We’re
humbled by the opportunity to provide in-game
coverage and to unfold the rich history of
the schools and the classics,” said Ward.
