Atlanta Football Classic takes center
stage on Fox Sports Net

ATLANTA, GA – On Saturday, September
30th, the Fox Sports Net (FSN) broadcast team
of Charles Ward and Mark Lassiter will continue
the network’s on-air coverage of Black
College Football with the 18th Annual Atlanta
Football Classic from the Georgia Dome.
 Joined by Gerald Olivari as sideline reporter,
Ward and Lassiter will provide the commentary
for the live broadcast of the annual match-up
between the Rattlers of Florida A&M University
(Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) and the Tigers
of Tennessee State University (Ohio Valley
Conference). FSN‘s coverage of the Atlanta
Football Classic will begin at 2:30 p.m. with
a 30-minute pre-game show. Kick-off is set
for 3 p.m.
Since 1990, the broadcast team has shared
the television and radio booth as an expression
of their passion for HBCUs. Ward is a graduate
of FAMU and the Howard University School of
Law while Lassiter earned his BFA from Howard. “We
are honored to represent the HBCU experience
for FSN’s millions of viewers and share
the celebration of football traditions anchored
by legendary coaches Jake Gaither and John
Merritt", stated Lassiter.
