Pioneer Bowl to air on Internet

Charlotte, NC - The Pioneer Bowl Committee has come to an agreement with Penn Atlantic to air Pioneer Bowl IX on the world wide web live from American Legion Memorial Stadium in Charlotte, NC on December 2, 2006.
 The Pioneer Bowl will air on www.pennatlantic.com with coverage beginning at noon with the Battle of the Bands. Penn Atlantic will provide a free of charge simulcast of the game and Battle of the Bands on their website.
Charles Ward and Mark Lassiter will provide the commentary for the live broadcast of the annual Pioneer Bowl between the Golden Tigers of Tuskegee University and the Golden Bears of Johnson C. Smith University. Kick-off is set for 2:00 p.m.
Since 1990, the broadcast team has shared the television and radio booth as HBCU commentators. Ward is a graduate of FAMU and the Howard University School of Law while Lassiter earned his BFA from Howard University.
