UMES Athletics seeking Hall of Fame nominations

PRINCESS ANNE, MD - The University of Maryland Eastern Shore
(UMES) will host the 2006 Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and
Celebration on February 17th, 2006 in conjunction with the
University's Homecoming. In preparation for the event, UMES
is accepting nominations for the Induction.
Anyone interested in nominating a former Hawk Athlete should
write a letter with a full description and summary of the achievements
of the athlete while enrolled at UMES. Any statistics or photos
of the athlete in their playing days will be appreciated. Any
professional accomplishments or achievements since playing
at UMES will be taken into consideration but not be the deciding
factor in an induction.
All nominations should be submitted to Ms. Gail Aiken or Mr.
Nelson E. Townsend, Director of Athletics at UMES via mail
or fax. Letters can be faxed to 410-651-7600 or mailed to W.P.
Hytche Athletic Center, Backbone Road, Princess Anne, MD 21853.
The nominations will be accepted until the close of business
on September 26, 2005.
The induction banquet will be held in the Student Services
Center Ballroom with a reception from 6:00pm-7:00pm and the
ceremony from 7:00 pm until.
