PVAM’s Robinson tabbed SWAC SID
of the Year

The Southwestern Athletic Conference has named Stefann Robinson
as the 2005-06 SWAC Sports Information Director (SID) of the
Year.
Robinson, who has been involved in collegiate athletics for
over 22 years, is currently in his second stint at Prairie
View. He serves as an assistant athletic director with responsibilities
in sports information and business manager.
“(Stefann) is a real asset to Prairie View A&M and
the Southwestern Athletic Conference,” said SWAC Assistant
Commissioner Wallace Dooley. “His knowledge of the field
and his enthusiasm for collegiate athletics is noted across
the nation.”
A native of Greenville, Mississippi, Robinson has directed
the Panther sports information office since 1994. He has also
served in various other capacities at Albany State, and Southern.
A graduate of Alcorn State University with degrees in business
administration and athletic administration, Robinson currently
serves as the chairperson of the SWAC Sports Information Directors
Committee. He is a member of the Alcorn State University National
Alumni Association, College Sports Information Directors of
America and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.
