Edward Waters hires ex-assistant as men's
basketball coach
July 21, 2005
The Florida
Times-Union has reported that Edward Waters College
has hired Anthony Mosley as head men's basketball coach.
Mosely returns to the Tiger's program after having served
seven years as an assistant prior to leaving last season. He
replaces Neil Orr who served as interim coach last year. Orr
was quickly promoted following the arrest and subsequent resignation
of head coach Buster Harvey in an undercover escort service
sting operation.
Following a 10-19 season and a second round loss in the EIAC
Tournament, the school decided against bringing Orr back as
permanent head coach.
Mosley played for Harvey from 1983-85 at Florida Community
College in Jacksonville and was an assistant to Harvey from
1987-2004 at EWC.
"I just missed coaching," Mosley told the Times-Union. "I
can't get basketball out of my system"
