DWCommunications to premier sports talk
show on August 20
August 4, 2005
DWCommunications has announced the launching of a new sports
talk show, whose primary focus is Black College sports. "From
the Pressbox to Press Row" is a national, live call-in
show which begins airing August 20 and will air every Saturday
from 5:00 – 6:00 p.m.
“I am extremely excited about this show,” said
Donal Ware, Founder and CEO of DWCommunications, LLC and the
show’s host. “Most of the national live call-in
shows rarely talk about Black College sports, yet alone focus
on Black College sports. This show will talk about Black College
sports as well as some of the big sports topics of the day
and we will have many persons related to the industry as guests
on our show."
“One of the most important things is the show will be
very interactive in terms of our listeners who will be able
to call in and talk about their favorite team, about hot topics
or issues. There have been so many people who have been instrumental
in making this show happen and again I am really looking forward
to August 20.”
The show will air on WCBM 680-AM in Baltimore/Washington,
WTJH 1260-AM in Atlanta and WYDE 101.1 FM in Birmingham. The
show will also air in the Raleigh-Durham, NC market as well
as the Greensboro-Winston-Salem-High Point, NC market but the
stations have yet to be determined. The show will also air
live via the Internet at www.boxtorow.com.
“We are close to a deal to air the show in the Triad,” said
Ware. “We look to expand to other cities in the very
near future. The show covers a significant area on WCBM, which
not only covers the Washington and Baltimore metro areas but
also covers Delaware and reaches into parts of Philadelphia,
as well as WYDE which reaches into Huntsville, Chattanooga,
TN and parts of Georgia and Mississippi.
