WVSC advances to Regional Championship Game

West Virginia State (42-14) downed West Chester 3-2 Saturday afternoon to advance to Sunday's noon NCAA North Atlantic Regional championship game.
Kyle Jones drove in Kevin Goode and Ryan Taylor with a two-out single in the top of the first inning and Jones scored in the fourth on a bases loaded double-play groundout to account for the WVSU scoring. Taylor extended his hitting streak to 31 games with a pair of singles. Senior Marc Atkins (8-0) went six innings to pick up the win with Justin Clyde coming on to throw two scoreless innings and Jon Loncar pitching the ninth to pick up the save.
