EIAC sets tournament brackets

Columbia, SC—The Eastern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (EIAC) will kick-off its 2005 Men’s and Women’s’ Basketball Tournament Friday, March 4 3:00PM at the Benedict College Benjamin E. Mays Human Development Arena Columbia, SC.

The men and women 2004-05 regular season champions, Claflin University’s Panthers and Pantherettes, are not eligible to participate in this year’s EIAC Tournament. The Panthers are a NCAA Division II provisional member and are not allowed to participate in any NAIA postseason championships. Morris College men from Sumter, SC and the Voorhees College women from Denmark, SC finished as regular season men and women runners-up and will receive the tournament top seeds.

7:00PM - #2 Edward Waters College vs. #3 Morris College - Women
9:00PM - #2 Edward Waters College vs. #3 Voorhees College - Men

SATURDAY, MARCH 5, 2005 - FINALS

4:00PM - Cheerleaders Exhibition
6:00PM - Women’s Championship
8:30PM - Men’s Championship
