MEAC to kick off season at annual Football
Press Luncheon

Greensboro, N.C. – The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference
will hold its annual Football Press Luncheon at Noon on Friday,
July 30 at the Hilton-Crystal City Hotel at Reagan National
Airport in Arlington, Virginia.
Each of the league’s head football coaches will be
on hand to discuss the upcoming season. The 2004 season kicks
off Labor Day weekend, as all eight MEAC teams will be in
action including three classic game match ups between Howard
and Alabama State (Ford Detroit Football Classic-Detroit,
Mich.); Hampton and Jackson State (Eddie Robinson Classic-Orlando,
Fla.) and the Aggie-Eagle Classic in Raleigh, N.C., between
North Carolina A&T and North Carolina Central.
The league will also hold a reception on Thursday from
7 p.m. – 9p.m., as MEAC Football Alum reunite in Arlington
to celebrate 35 years of MEAC Football.
All media attending the Press Luncheon and/or reception
should RSVP with the MEAC Media Relations Department. All
credential requests must be in by Monday, July 26.
