Hampton names Keshia Campbell Assistant Director of Athletics/SWA

Hampton, Va. – Keshia Campbell, former head women’s basketball coach
at South Carolina State University (Orangeburg, S.C.) has joined the Hampton
University Athletics Family as the new Assistant Director of Athletics for
all Pirates/Lady Pirates sports programs.
Campbell is a 1991 graduate of South Carolina State University earning a degree
in Physical Education. She went on to earn a Masters Degree in Rehabilitation
Counseling in 2003 from SCSU as well.
Prior to her arrival to HU, Campbell served for seven years (1997-2004) as the head women’s basketball coach for the Lady Bulldogs of South Carolina State. Before assuming the reigns as head coach, Campbell was an assistant coach for the Lady Bulldogs from 1995-97.
While at Hampton University, Campbell will serve as the Assistant Director of Athletics heading up fundraising and other day-to-day duties of a collegiate athletics department. She will also serve as the Senior Woman Administrator.
