Tourism Network to sponsor All-Star Football Classic Fan

ORLEANS, LA - The New Orleans Multicultural Tourism
Network (NOMTN), a sponsoring partner of the HBCU
All-Star Classic, will host the inaugural HBCU
All-Star Classic Fan / Media Day, Saturday, January
15 at Tad Gormley Stadium in New Orleans’ City
Park, scheduled from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
HBCU Fan / Media Day
will be a fun-filled afternoon of recreation and entertainment,
as members of the media will get their chance to go
one-on-one with the HBCU All-Stars, where players
will be put through their paces, under the determined
eye of NFL scouts, and afterwards embrace their fans
with autographs and rap sessions.
In an effort
to support youth football at the local, grassroots
level, the National Football League Players Association
(NFLPA) has teamed with the HBCU All-Star Classic
to establish a youth football camp, to take place
at the Tad Gormley Practice Fields adjacent to
Tad Gormley Stadium. Area youngsters will
be given the opportunity to learn the game of football
and get physically fit, while their favorite HBCU
All-Stars look on.
