Nike
Corporation and SIAC form new partnership

Nike and the SIAC have formed a new partnership. Nike will be the official
shoe provider for the conference.
The Nike Corporation has become a corporate sponsor
for one year during which negotiations will take place for a longer relationship.
The Nike/SIAC agreement provides complimentary shoes
to each member institution of the SIAC annually, allowing
styles to be determined by each individual school. Other
aspects of the agreement allow member schools that use baseball
and softball equipment to receive additional savings on baseball
and softball gear, bats, and protective wear.
SIAC Commissioner William E. Lide stated, “We are excited about the
new forward direction of this grand conference and extremely pleased that Nike
Corporation is joining with us to further enhance the conference’s growth.”
Stan Clark, Representative of Nike Team Sport said, “We are excited
about the opportunity to work with the SIAC. We look forward to a long and
beneficial partnership.”
