"The departures of VMI and ETSU created this void in our
schedule and made it more difficult to find an 11th game," Robinson
stated. "Our Thursday night games have had great environments
in the past and we are appreciative of Benedict providing
us with the opportunity to play an 11th game."
The addition of Benedict to The Citadel's schedule completes
the 2004 football tilt as the 11th game. The Sports Network
ranks the Bulldogs' schedule the second toughest in all
of I-AA football. The current schedule includes nationally
ranked Auburn, ACC member Duke and the Southern Conference's
four nationally ranked teams in Appalachian State, Georgia
Southern, Furman and Wofford.
