Walt Disney World Florida Classic Approaching a Sellout

November 7, 2003

Orlando, Fla. – With game day just over two weeks away, tickets to the 23rd Annual Walt Disney World Florida Classic continue to sell at a brisk pace. The game between Bethune-Cookman College and Florida A&M University will kickoff at 4 p.m. on Saturday, November 22 at the Florida Citrus Bowl Stadium.

Less than 7,000 seats remain. This year’s game has seen a 25% increase in pre-game sales over the same period last year.

The strong demand for tickets has forced the game’s management group, Florida Citrus Sports, to request an additional seating section be added to the north end zone of the Florida Citrus Bowl Stadium. Without the temporary bleachers, the Florida Citrus Bowl Stadium seats 65,438.

“Without question, I think we’re headed for another sellout,” Florida Citrus Sports Executive Director Tom Mickle said. “Obviously if fans are planning to attend and enjoy the pageantry of the nation’s premiere black college football game, I would suggest securing your tickets as soon as possible.”
