Salisbury, NC - Livingstone College is announcing a vacancy in the position
of Head Men's Basketball.
The college decided on Monday (March 8) not to
renew Westley Gillum's contract. A search committee will be formed to fill
the vacancy.
Prior to Gillum's appointment as head coach, he served two
years as an assistant coach at Livingstone. Before arriving in Salisbury, he
was the head coach at Dillard University for two years where he coached the
men's team to a 33-13 record.
Unfortunately at Livingstone, he was unable to
turn the Blue Bears program around. Gillum won the 2004 CIAA Team Academic
Award but compiled a two-year record of 10-45.
