Darlene Moore, Fort Valley State head women's track and cross
country coach for the past six years, has resigned.
Citing inadequate funding for her programs, Moore, 35, leaves
a legacy of four SIAC cross country championships, four SIAC
track and field championships, 21 All-SIAC runners, two individual
national champions and 15 NCAA All-Americans.
The Albany State alum joins her husband, Michael, as former coaches at Fort
Valley State. Michael Moore was fired in March after 11 seasons as head men's
basketball coach.
