Howard University announces 2004 Football Schedule

Howard University kicks off the 2004 season in the Second Annual Ford Detroit Football Classic at Ford Stadium in Detroit, MI. against Alabama State on September 4. The Bison will also participate in another classic, the First Annual Prince George's Black Chamber of Commerce Classic against Grambling State University at FedEx Field on September 18.
"We are very pleased with the schedule," said Howard University Athletics Director Sondra Norrell-Thomas.
"We are especially elated to be a part of the first annual PG Classic. We have been involved with them from the beginning and we are excited about the partnership we have formed with PG Black Chamber of Commerce in making this one of the premier black college events in the country."
Other games of note include a first-ever meeting with Charleston Southern on October 9 at Greene Stadium. Howard will play Norfolk State University for homecoming on October 30.
