Morgan State Date Changed

NORFOLK, Va. — Norfolk State University had added a 12th football game to its schedule for the upcoming season, agreeing to play in-state opponent Liberty University in Lynchburg on November 8. Game time is 1:30 p.m.
“This represents an ongoing effort to get more people within the state on our schedule, especially I-AA teams,” first-year NSU coach Willie Gillus said. “We’ve tried in the past and now we’re succeeding, with games against VMI and Liberty.”
In order to accommodate the Liberty game, the Norfolk State at Morgan State game, originally scheduled for November 8, has been moved to November 22, when the Spartans were scheduled to play Morris Brown College. That school has lost its accreditation and terminated its athletic program.
