Morgan State Releases 2003 Football Schedule

April 18, 2003

BALTIMORE, MD – Morgan State University’s 2003 football schedule includes a non-conference home opener against Towson on August 30th, along with a trip to the New Jersey Meadowlands to square-off with Hampton in the 33rd Annual Whitney Young Classic on September 27th. MSU’s Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) schedule features home games with South Carolina State (9/13), North Carolina A&T (10/11) and culminates with a Homecoming date against Howard on October 18th and a matchup with Norfolk State on November 8th.

MSU completed the 2002 campaign with its first winning season in 23 years by finishing with a 7-5 record. Head coach Donald Hill-Eley will have over 40 letterwinners returning to the gridiron for the 2003 season. The combination of experience and familiarity with the coaching system could make the Bears one of the most potent squads in the nation.
