MEAC Basketball Tournament Stays In Richmond for Two More Years

Greensboro, NC - Commissioner Dennis Thomas announced today that the City of
Richmond has been selected to host the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Men
and Women’s Basketball Tournament for two more years (2004 & 2005).
“We’re pleased that the city of Richmond has won the opportunity to host our
men’s and women’s basketball tournament,” said Commissioner Thomas. “I am
excited about the steady improvement of the tournament each year.”
The city of Richmond has successfully hosted the tournament since 1998 and
today’s announcement was made at the Convention Center in Richmond, VA.
Thomas also stated, “I hope that we will continue to get the support from
not only the MEAC institutions, but from the alumni friends and supporters
of the conference.”
