Charleston, WV— The West Virginia State College lost their season finale to West Liberty State College 27-3 in front of 257 fans at Laidley Field. The Hilltoppers of West Liberty end the season with a 6-5 overall and in the 5-2 WVIAC record. The Yellow Jackets of West Virginia State end the season 1-10 overall and 0-7 in the WVIAC.

West Liberty scored with 9:21 in the first quarter on a 16 yard touchdown pass from senior Tim Hicks (Evensville, TN) to senior Collin Hardwick (Cadiz, OH) to take a 7-0 lead. The lone Yellow Jacket score would come with 11:52 on the second quarter clock. A 27-yard field goal by freshman kicker David Mitchell (Green Cove Springs, FL) would make the score 14-3.
