Blue Tiger Women Lose In OT To Columbia College

Columbia, MO - The Lincoln University Blue Tiger Women gave the NAIA
Powerhouse Columbia College Cougars all they could handle on Monday night.
The Blue Tigers lead by 2 at half 36-34 and were outscored by the Cougars in
the second half by 2 to send the game into overtime at 65. The Cougars
stepped in the OT period and won by 6, 75-69.
The Blue Tigers' Sophomore Center Elfreda Reid had a career high game in
scoring with 18 points to lead the LU offense. With a game high in
rebounds, Junior Forward Shara Tauai pulled down 15 boards and added 10
points for her fourth double-double of the season. And Junior Guard Katie
Pruitt was also in double figures in scoring with 15 on the night.
Lincoln falls to 8-10 on the year, as Columbia College goes to 15-7. The
Blue Tigers will get back into Heartland Conference play with the Drury
University Lady Panthers on Wednesday night. The game will be broadcasted
on Smooth Jazz 88.9 FM beginning at 6:55pm with the tip-off at 7.
