JSU Lady Tigers Upend Alcorn State, 74-65

The Jackson State Lady Tigers defeated in-state rival Alcorn State Lady Braves in a thrilling competition Saturday night at Williams Athletic & Assembly Center. The Lady Braves took a eight point lead into the half scoring 37 points and grabbing 13 offensive rebounds before a vibrant Jackson State stormed back to win 74-65.
Amie Williams led the Lady Tigers with 21 points, seven rebounds and four blocks. Sonia Washington added 19 points as the Lady Tigers improved to 9-3 and 2-1 in conference play.
The Lady braves led by Keairra Levy with a game high 23 points fell to 8-5 and 2-1 in the conference.
