Blue Tiger Men Have No Problems With Eagles Of Robert Morris

Jefferson City, MO - The Lincoln University Blue Tigers after allowing the
Robert Morris College Eagles to score first, combined a 10-0 run and a 12-0
to build a 24-4 lead in the first eight minutes of the game and led as much
as 23 points in the first half and held of an Eagle run at the end of the
first period for 43-35 halftime lead. The Blue Tigers quickly took the lead
to 22 and led by 27 in the second frame and cruised to an 83-58 victory.
LU men were led by Junior Guard Sean Briggs with a game high 19 points and
added 5 assists and 2 steals. Jamal Burney also found double figures with
12 on the game. Senior Guard DuRell Sanford led the game with 8 rebounds as
the Blue Tigers go to 7-9 on the year.
The Blue Tigers will head to Springfield, MO on Thursday, January 30th to
battle the Panthers of Drury University to get back into Heartland
Conference action. The game will be on Smooth Jazz 88.9 KJLU, beginning at
7:25 with the tip-off at 7:30pm.
