Rattlers reach .500 for first time since 1992

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (Jan. 13) The Florida A&M Rattlers
rolledd past the
Howard University Bison, 75-64 in a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference
men’s
basketball game Monday night.
The win was the second straight for Florida A&M (6-6, 2-2)
and lifted
the Rattlers to the .500 mark through 12 games for the first time
since 1992.
FAMU led by as much as 14 points in the first half and took a
38-30
lead into the lockeroom. The Rattlers came out guns blazing in
the second
half, shooting 53.6 percent from the floor to hold off the Bison,
who
managed 34 points over the final 20 minutes.
Terrence Woods led FAMU with 25 points. Michael Griffith had
15 points,
Jermaine Hill added 14 and O.J. Sumter finished with 10 points.
Howard (3-10, 1-3) was led by Mac Wilkinson with 18 points. Ron
Williams chipped in 16 points and Kyle Williams added 15.
The Rattlers did not get their sixth win last season until Feb.
