Houston, TX- Texas Southern University Athletic Trainer John "Doc"
Harvey has been selected as a "Most Distinguished Athletic Trainer"
by the National Athletics Trainers Association (NATA).
He will receive the award 11:30 a.m., Monday, June 17, at the 2002 NATA
Annual Awards Meeting and Clinical Symposia in Dallas, Texas.
Harvey has served as head trainer for the Tigers since 1974, and is
responsible for providing the clinical and administrative supervision
of the intercollegiate athletics teams, coordination of football team
travel and the formulation of accountability of the athletic training
budget.
