Morgan State Selectes CAU's Angelyne Brown As Women's Basketball Coach

Morgan State University has named Angelyne Brown as its

head women's basketball coach. Brown comes to Baltimore from Clark Atlanta University where she had been head women's coach for eight years compiling a 151-99 record. She never had a losing season at CAU.

Prior to taking over at Clark Atlanta, Brown was an assistant coach at Tuskegee and Spelman.

Brown began her collegiate coaching career in 1991 at Spelman College as Assistant Basketball Coach.

In August of 1992, she assumed the role of Assistant Women's Basketball Coach at Tuskegee University. While at Tuskegee, she also served as head coach of the women's volleyball team.

In 1996, Brown worked as the assistant director of try-outs for the American Basketball League (ABL) which, at that time, had a franchise that played its games at Forbes Area on the Morehouse College campus. She was also basketball training site supervisor for the Summer Olympics in 1996.
