Southern Adds 12th Football Game to 2002 Schedule

BATON-ROUGE, LA - The Southern University Athletic Department has announced the addition of a 12th football game to its schedule.

Southern University will host the Braves of Alcorn State on November 2nd, 2002 in A.W. Mumford Stadium. Game time is set for 7:00 PM.

"We are very pleased that we are able to add another quality game, and a conference team to our schedule for this season", added Floyd Kerr, Athletic Director.
With the addition of Alcorn State, Southern now has five games scheduled for AW Mumford Stadium.

Alcorn State will come to Baton Rouge for two consecutive seasons, as the Braves roll onto the Jaguars schedule next season as well.

Southern finished the 2001 season at 7-4, 5-2 in the SWAC.
