Murray and Kongolo Head BCSIDA 2002 Basketball All-America Squads

Shaw University's Ronald Murray and North Carolina Central University's
Amba Kongolo, CIAA Players of the Year, led the voting for the 2002 Black
College Sports Information Directors Association (BCSIDA) All-American
teams.
Murray, a 64 guard from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania led all black college
players in scoring with a 23.5 average and led the mens team with 135
voting points. He was named the National Association of Basketball Coaches
(NABC) and Daktronics Division II Player of the Year earlier this year.
Kongolo, a 63 forward from Kinshasa, Congo averaged 20.2 points per
game and 10 rebounds for the Lady Eagles. She led the women's team with
65 voting points in voting by sports information directors at America's
Historically Black Colleges and Universities.
