Bethune-Cookman 49, Delaware State 24

Philadelphia, PA -- Quarterback Allen Suber passed for 212 yards and three touchdowns to lead Bethune-Cookman to a 49-24 win over Delaware State in the Richard Allen Classic at Veterans Stadium.

B-CC won its third straight game to improve to 4-1 overall and 3-0 in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference, while Delaware State lost its third in a row. The Hornets are now 1-4 and 0-3 in the MEAC.

Bethune-Cookman took a 7-0 lead when Suber and Tarian Hubbard connected on a 25-yard scoring pass on the Wildcats' first drive of the game. B-CC opened up a 14-0 lead when Tor-El Robinson intercepted a Kittrell Barnes pass, and returned it 54 yards for a touchdown.

Bethune-Cookman led 28-9 before Delaware State scored 15 unanswered points to cut the lead to 28-24.

The Wildcats took advantage of a DSU turnover when Eric Lash scored on a 16-yard rn to give his team a 35-24 lead with 2:04 left in the first half.

Bethune-Cookman outscored the Hornets, 14-0 in the second half.
